• Sam Young: Delve deep into the intricate world of piobaireachd with Sam, who will guide you through this ancient art form.

• Barry Gray: As Sydney School of Piping & Drumming head administrator, Barry will be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing you to focus purely on your piping. He will also share his expertise in techniques and timing.

Your Musical Journey Awaits

From Monday, December 8th to Friday, December 12th, join us for a comprehensive 5-day piping workshop. Each day, from 9 am to 3 pm, you’ll receive expert instruction, delve into technique, and expand your repertoire. The workshop price is $850 AUD, and this includes your daily lunch, prepared by a chef in the villa.

Accommodation Options for Every Need

We’ve secured a fantastic villa with limited, exclusive accommodation for those seeking convenience and camaraderie of staying with fellow students and the instructors.:

• 3 Double Rooms (with ensuites): Perfect for a student bringing a partner, these rooms are available for $1,000 AUD per room for the entire week (Sunday, December 7th – Sunday, December 14th).
• 1 Twin Room (with 2 single beds and ensuite): Ideal for two students attending together, this room is $1,200 AUD for the week.

For those staying in the villa, you’ll have the option to cook your own meals, or for an added touch of luxury, arrange for delicious chef-prepared meals (pricing for this option will be provided on request).

Alternatively, for those seeking more flexibility or travelling with a larger group or their family, you are welcome to arrange your own accommodation in Ubud and simply join us for the daily workshops. We’ve even scouted a great option for you:

• Bisma Road Villas (Elephant Villa 4, Elephant Villa 5, Villa Serenya): These three side-by-side villas in central Ubud offer a total of 2 bedrooms (unto 4 persons) and are approximately AUD $2,000 for 7 nights. Please note, breakfast is not included at these villas, but Ubud boasts an abundance of fantastic local cafés offering breakfast from AUD $6–12 per person.

To celebrate our shared passion and newfound skills, an optional group dinner will be held on Saturday, December 13th, at attendees’ own expense. It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax, socialise, and recount your Balinese adventures.
